Anitoki (pron. "on-ee toe-key") is a customizable scheduling app that lets anime fans create their own personalized viewing schedule of currently airing anime. You can try it out here.

A mobile-first approach was employed when designing Anitoki, which made it a bit easier to think about elements when they scaled up. However, it was challenging to maintain a similar feel across different display sizes.

When choosing a color palette and typography, I tried to keep it simple, inviting, and a bit playful.
Bold, flat colors are prevalent in Japanese art and design. I kept this in mind when designing the buttons and various elements of the app.

the final desktop home screen mockup. the logo and list panel button were eventually shrunk in the final app to give greater weight to the weekly schedule itself.
